Asbestos Abatement
The older your building, the higher the chances you may have dangerous asbestos on-site. If a recent renovation uncovered asbestos-laced materials, don’t put yourself at risk by trying to remove it yourself. Instead, call PRIME’s abatement divisions to make your facility safe and healthy for everyone.
What is asbestos?
Asbestos is the generic name for small, fibrous minerals commonly used during the late 1800s through the 1980s. It was used in over 3,000 construction products, including paint, tiles, plaster, insulation, plumbing materials, shingles, and more.Over time, asbestos exposure can eventually lead to pleural lung plaques, mesothelioma, and other cancers. But you can count on Prime to safely confine and remove any sources of asbestos as soon as possible.
Confine and Limit the spread of asbestos
We’ll begin by examining your space to determine if asbestos is present. If it is, we’ll seal off the affected areas, stopping the spread of asbestos particles in the air. Our team will use specialized equipment like a negative air machine with High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters, to ensure that no asbestos can escape the confinement.Depending on the areas affected by asbestos, you may be able to continue using uncontaminated parts of the building during the removal process. We’ll work quickly and efficiently to keep your downtime to an absolute minimum.
Remove asbestos at the source.
We follow all local regulations and safety guidelines to keep you and your personnel safe. Our expert team uses the most advanced tools and techniques to remove asbestos-laced materials, or safely seal them off. When we’re finished, our crew will vacuum the area and perform an inspection to confirm that all the asbestos particles have been completely removed. From there, PRIME’s reconstruction divisions can replace any impacted areas with new, safe materials. So, you don’t need to work with multiple contractors to bring your space back to working order.
